At first, he may not seem like much for 79pts but let's take a second look.
1)He is a wildcard which, with the recent changes to make them awesome again, immediately makes him more valuable.
2)Perplex is always beneficial in a game of numbers.
3)The Regeneration at the end of the dial means you have the chance to get more life out of him.
4)And last but not least is the SP
Unbelievable WeaponryOnce per game (but not during another action) when Mikron O'Jeneus is adjacent to a non-held object, as a free action remove that object from the game and choose a standard attack power. Mikron O'Jeneus and up to two friendly characters adjacent to Mikron O'Jeneus can use that power until the begining of your next turn (even if they are no longer adjacent to Mikron O'Jeneus)
The possibilities are pretty immense. Mikron copies BCF to deal with a beastly adjacent opponent while adjacent friends with charge run off to do the same to others; Mikron and friends who have low damage suddenly blast outwards at Impervious foes using Penetrating/Psychic Blast; He and his buddies need to health badly so let's all copy Steal Energy. Hell, just today, in the sealed tournament, I found Mikron and Kryptonite man surrounded by some opponents and M decided to follow K-man's lead at the begining of the turn and gave himself Poison and took the whole crowd down a few pegs.
He isn't, by any means, a stand alone figure, but he can sure bring some interesting possibilities to the game.
Lets say I pulled him in my sealed, and when we were picking up our boosters with our unused figures, I thought the booster wasn't mine because it had him in it, and I completely forgot I had pulled him.
Maybe he has uses I dunno, but when a character less than half his size can one shot KO him without much trouble, Its hard to find them. Basically Zerg rush him to an object give everyone BCF or PB for one turn, not really worth 80 points imo?
He's a flyer that can't carry anyone. His SP is potent, but it's nowhere as useful and potent as Nico from HoT. Calculator is nice, that is true, but there are plenty of other calculators.
I played him in sealed for perplex. It really helped Talia hit those 18 defenses. Started with him next to an object to give out TK and start the hurt early.
My one gripe is that his SP Unbelievable Weaponry starts out with "Once per game..." With several characters that can now choose a standard power to use every turn (The Flash and Green Lantern, Nico Minoru) would it really have been too powerful to let him use it until all objects are gone?

QFT. I'm hoping this gets errata'd, but I think it is Unbelievable that his genius at building weaponry can only work once per game. Once per round, fine. Once per game? Kinda sticking it to the Fearsome Five even more, especially since he can't taxi for them now.

Nah. I'd rather it stay 'once per game' but have the ability be permanent once chosen. It's lame to have pieces with the same ability, but fun to have pieces with similar but different abilities.

And I'd be fine with that, too. But the fact that it goes away...sad.

Well yeah, that would be better. More powerful, and more accurate. However, it makes no sense to me to limit it to once per game. It wouldn't be overly powerful (particularly as the new rules allow you to put 0-3 objects into the game, so you'll be able to keep him from getting more than 3 uses of the power), and it would be more accurate (just because he's making weapons out of toasters doesn't mean he always makes lame weapons). It would better justify his point cost if you could use it more than once per game, or if it was once per game but permanent (only problem with permanent is that it creates something that has to be tracked the rest of the game).
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
He helped win me the sealed this weekend. Nobody remembered what he could do and I caught everybody off guard with his special power. In my last game for the win I was facing the "Two Flashes" and a Metallo. Inertia kept them from running down my throat and then bam, all of a sudden I have three TK figs, it got interesting. Tking a Wonder Woman holding a heavy and rolling a critical hit was nice. My buddy never saw that coming, and then the high defenses were for naught against the mighty poison of Kryptonite Man...it was a good time and The Flashes took a dirt nap.
I'm going to agree with Trypswitch...considering that i was the one being double-poisoned.
especially in this set where it seems that more figures depend on high defenses as opposed to damage reducers, being able to have 3 figures poison in a round can really ruin the heavy-hitters day (ie, superman/flash, batman green arrow, etc)
