The answer to all of your Perplex questions is "No". It cannot boost damage from EE, PW, BCF, Multi-attack, or increase healing for support. The reason being perplex adds or subtracts 1 from the printed value on the base. Since these attacks don't use the base value, changing the "base" value won't change the outcome. EE, PW, and Multi-attack will still deal out 1 click of damage, and BCF and healing will still use the number rolled on the dice to determine damage/healing.
For EE doing damage to the character that used it, yes that is possible. Remember that if a character is flying it can use a ranged combat on an adjacent figure. So if a character is flying, they can use EE on an adjacent character, and the splash damage will hit all adjacent figures (including the flying attacker).
Hope this helps.

Can you use perplex to increase damage delivered by EE or PW?No. EE/PW is declared when the attack action is declared. Once you declare an action, you cannot Perplex until after that action is completed.(you cannot Perplex in the middle of an action)
Can you use it to increase damage delivered by a multi-ranged attack? No. Same reason as above.
Can you use it to deliver one extra click of damage with blades/claws/fangs?No. You can only Perplex a combat value.(Speed, AV, DV, Damage, or Range) You cannot Perplex Die rolls.
Can you use it to deliver one extra click of healing with support? No. Same as above. Also note: Support ignores all modifiers to the attack roll. This included all Perplexed values.
And why?See above for reasons

In the FAQ it reads under EE "A character cannot be knocked back by damage from its own Energy Explosion attack though it will still take damage)."
Can this really happen?
How?Ultron is b2b with an opposing figure. Ultron uses EE on that figure, and gets a double on the attack roll. Normally, all figures affected by the EE is knocked back. However, Ultron will not be affected by the knockback effects. (he will still take damage as normal)
