To answer your sig, you go to the units section, and when you pull up a specific character you click the up arrow for keep (you've got it and won't trade it), have (you've got it, would trade it), and want (self explanatory). Then, when other people click your H/W button (giggity?) it shows 'em.
The popinjay and lojo stories are what makes me afraid to start a trade thread. I would much rather trade than sell figures on eBay. eBay seems much safer though.

That's true. The good thing about Ebay is you get some sort of buyer protection through the rating system and PayPal. I've had a total of 4 purchase transactions through the realms and one of them resulted in me getting screwed (the whole sk8ngame debacle). Luckily, since I paid with PayPal, I was able to report the issue to my bank and have the money sent back to my account. Others were not as lucky.
Having said that, The three good purchases I've made from here were all great deals and I would buy from those people again in an instant.

My first trade got me screwed over by some guy named sk8erboi or somesuch thing. Since then I've basically given up on realms trading. Though I did get a black hand from the realms

I understand the concerns, but it really comes down to protecting yourself. This site makes it really easy to do. The problems always seem to come from people not following the trade rules. If you haven't traded much, only trade with those that have a lot of positive feedback (25+). Don't just look at a trader's trader rating, but look at the people they have actually traded with. Are you familiar with these people? Do they also have a lot of trades? Have they traded recently? Is the trade too good to be true? Also, once you build your own trader rating, you can safely trade with those with lower feedback because you can require that they send first. You may end up initially passing on some potential trades, but you won't get scammed. By asking these questions and following these personal rules, I have never been scammed on this or any other site.
Edit: Also, use the "Sale Forum" to build your iTrader. I don't know when it changed, but the rules for selling here are pretty strict (need 25+ iTrader), so you are less likely to get burned. Also, consider why someone has what they have on their list. Why is someone selling 10 chase figs? Why does someone with a 2 iTrader have 20 older high end figures and is looking for the 4 B&tB chase figs? Those that get scammed tend to be those that overlook warning signs because they are so excited about the trade. If the possibility of getting scammed outweighs the cost of the trade, don't trade.

Research, research, research people. I am still wondering how Lojo got away with his latest scam? 2 iTrader, from 'traders' that left Feedback for him the same day as their join dates, and had 0 posts, and 0 Feedback themselves
