I wasn't sure where else to ask this, but I was wondering what the "going" rate for Legacy Ares. A quick look at ebay shows him selling for (buy it now) anywhere between $55 and $90.
Worth two good Super Rares, maybe a low-end chase [Skrulls]. Thats about it. Value-wise, depends on who/what/why. He's older, and harder to find.. but that being said, he's retired.
I estimate his value at between $40-$60. This is the second time I've answered this question tonight. Is there a reason for the influx of interest in him or is it just a coincidence?

$40.00-$50.00 seems about right, as he's one of the 'old guard' good Uniques from the long ago sold out and much sought after Legacy set. Much like KC Green Lantern and KC Flash.
The question I have about him: since he's retired anyway, is the PR worth as much as the silver ring? More?
Trade to Canada. We're friendly, and we love Beavers..........

I would say less, actually as you theoretically can't use him in organized play. I don't know of any local judge in my area that would prevent you from using him, but I also know that there ARE some strict judges out there who wouldn't allow it. I would value PR Ares at around $30

There is also the issue of 'rarity' to consider. You see few Ares as is, much less the PR.

I'll give you that, but when factoring in a figures worth, you have to consider it's demand and usefullness. If you can't use a figure in some tournaments, it is not as sought after and therefore not as valuable. I got a PR Nimrod for little of nothing because nobody wanted him, and this was at a point when Nimrod was still a pretty hot commodity.

I did a trade recently that involved my Ares for a chase Skrull Spider Woman. Legacy sold out years ago and people are still in need of those pieces. Ares is also still a solid piece and can hold his own against the newer figures in the game. I'm surprised that he only goes for $40 to $50.
