He was asking the reasoning behind the "Not Tournament Legal" label.
I don't think we ever had an answer for that from WK itself, but Krusti's rationale on the HSS attacks would make sense, IMO.
haha thanks but yes that's what I was asking... the reasoning behind the "Not Tournament Legal" label.
So, I can still choose to use the Asgardian Map in a tournament but the Rainbow Bridge wouldn't be in effect?
What other maps have a lot of water in it? Someone mentioned the BPRD map... if I do a search for it, what keywords should I look for besides "BPRD map" ?

Up to your judge. Personally, not only do I allow its use, I let the player's use the rules if they are both cool with it (I treat those special rules essentially as an event dial).

It came with the BPRD Action Pack. So you could either track one of those down (my venue sat on a couple extra ones for a very long time) or try to track it down separately. I don't really know what other keywords you might find it under.

Thanks, Normalview. Are there any other tournament legal maps with a lot of water? I want to use my little Froggy whom I misplayed in a tournament finals game last night by not putting him in hindering as I based an opponent.
He ended up getting his D outwitted and then one-shotted and didn't produce in the finals... kinda like Lamar Odom...

There is the BPRD map, the DC Docks map (from the final Starro event and is a 4 sided map), the DC Dawn of Time map has a water on a few of the special mini-maps you can place (from the Crisis events, also a 4 sided map).
Otherwise, water tends to be pretty minimal. I think a couple of the old style (non-color coded) maps have water placed in a rather central position (like a fountain or some such thing) which could offer some strategic placement, but those old maps are not officially tournament legal... and if your venue hasn't been around since the beginning, you might not even have access to them anyway.

Maps with a great deal of water:
The BPRD "Aruna Temple" map is the king of water maps.
The DC Starro Attacks "Dockyards" has plenty of water as well.
The DC Crisis "Dawn of Time" has that nice, wide river running through it. One of the Time Zones it's compatible with is nearly all water.
The HorrorClix Castle map has a nice moat. Not terribly useful, though.
Maps with a little water:
The Marvel Danger Room outdoor map has a fair amount of water, though it's not all that usefully placed.
Maps with minimal water:
The DC "Graveyard" has one tiny pool. Marginally useful under certain conditions.
The Marvel Armor Wars "Lab" has a 6-square pool in a highly useless position.
The DC Icons "Zoo" map has one tiny pool in the center of the firing range.
The DC Icons "Chemical Plant" map has a large-ish pool.
The Marvel Danger Room indoor map has one tiny pool that's actually somewhat tactically important.
God is smarter than we are....

If you're playing an all-aquatic team or you're happy to fight mostly in water terrain (maybe you've got an Inhumans team and you want Triton to play well), then the Anura Temple is best.
If you're happy to fight mostly on land but want to have water close at hand (to use special Regeneration powers or whatever) then the Docklands works well - you're likely to fight on the docks but diving into nearby water is easy.
If you want a compromose bwteeen these two maps, try the Dawn of Time map (without timezones).
If you can benefit from or at least easily bypass water terrain but your opponent has mostly non-flyers, the Castle can be great for really slowing opponents down.
