A bit worried about the lack of a dedicated close combat attacker, but still curious to see how it might do.
I think the team will be okay close-combat wise. Remember that Batman gets CCE on his third click, so when he has pushed or takes a punch, he can be your close-combat attacker. Use his OOTS power to get next to someone and then punch away.
Even Fire & Ice can do some serious punching with Duo attack if they get based.
This looks like it is a pretty good team... I want to try it!
I do not recommend the use of the ATA. It's a *little* better now that Batman doesn't lose his team ability (at least, I think he shouldn't per the latest player's guide), but I found myself never being able to use it.
If you do use it, let us know how it works out.
If you stray from Modern Age...
Blue Beetle and Booster Gold's boost to adjacent team members (who share a keyword) makes me want to fit as many figures as possible on the team, so I would reconsider the Duo Fire and Ice for the Vets from CD.

Thanks. Still concerned though since I want to keep Batman on Outwit as long as possible though.

Well, there's unfortunately not a whole lot else to do with the leftover points... ATA > nothing.
Actually, I like the ATA and have used it (it's particularly great on figs like Martian Manhunter who can then reduce damage by three). For your team, you could use it to keep Fire and Ice on higher clicks while knocking Booster Gold and Blue Beetle on to Outwit (or later, Perplex).
Is it bad to really really wish that B&B MM was able to be included? You could still pull off your theme team, but you'd look really top heavy... but MM can take it!... sort of... With OoTS Bats I think it can happen. MM can play hit and run while Bats acts at interference with ATA and outwitting powers.

Great to hear! I really like the JLI, and was very pleasantly surprised to see how well the new versions of these characters performed.
