Some HeoClix players have a weakness to "SOAP" like Superman to Kryptonite! Those same players are also badly affected by "DEORDORANT." Sorry, I couldn't help myself! A straight line is a terrible thing to waste!
That it even took ten posts before someone made that joke is a crime.
A friggin' CRIME.
A gamer's asking what SOAP is, folks! It's low-hanging fruit!

Excellent! I actually played against a couple of these Supermen, and it was definitely super-unforgetable.
When using some tactics that work well repeatedly during a game, I've heard it described as "lather, rinse, repeat". Wonder if that is the origin of the soap reference.
This would be illegal for a couple reasons. Jarvis doesn't have the Thunderbolts keyword, and T-Bolts can only copy Marvel TA's.
I thought this was possible under the use of the old thunderbolt feat, not the new ATA. Of course I play at a friends place and not in any sanctioned or formal tourneys.
Another man loomed up and the sword fell on him like a falling star, crushed his helmet and the skull beneath it down to his mouth. The body dropped on its back and danced a merry jig in the dirt."Dance!" laughed the Bloody-Nine.

And, of course, since the new ATA replaces the old ATA, it will no longer be legal to do as you suggested. But it was legal for a little while.

Just to make sure I understand.
Under the old rules (pre-Blackest Night) the ATA replaced the TA.
Under the current rules (Blackest Night) the ATA is in addition to the TA.

Section 7: Alternate Team Abilities
As Alternate Team Abilities are now their own type of card, they no longer belong stuck in with the feats. The mechanics are similar to what you are already used to, though you’ll notice that across the board:
• Prerequisites are gone – ATA cards are assigned based on keywords.
• All team abilities are additional ones that the character gains on top of any team ability they currently possess.
• The cost for most abilities have gone up accordingly, though they are all still a “per character” cost. This rule is clearly listed in the rulebook, so we didn’t feel we needed to spell it out on each and every card.
What we do in life echoes in eternity!
Respect is a given, only disrespect can be earned.

Yeah, but that has nothing to do with what I was saying, so I don't know why you quoted me. I was talking about how, for example, the new Thunderbolts "not a feat" ATA (which has been mentioned in the Player's Guide but has not officially been released) replaces the old Thunderbolts ATA feat card, so that it is not legal to play the old Thunderbolts ATA feat card.
Ooh, I just had an idea for an acronym for the "Not A Feat" aTAs... NAFTA!

To quote the actual rules:

ATA cards provide either different or additional team abilities to the qualifying characters on your force.
The rules let the cards specify whether the ability they provide is in addition to or instead of any team ability already on the card.
To date, every ATA has been phrased so that it is in addition to. No doubt this is simpler for costing purposes, as an ATA that replaced team abilities would, one supposes, need a different cost for every team ability it might find itself replacing. The only way to sanely make a replacement ATA would be to have a team ability as a prerequisite, so that this wasn't an issue.
I'm still hoping for a replacement ability for wildcard TAs, as I think I mention five times a day on this forum. : - )
