It gives them barrier, smoke cloud, l/c, incap, tk, and makes you win the game even if you don't wanna

The Web Shooter mechanic will probably combine elements of Incapacitate and the Construct feat:

Web Shooter
When a target is successfully hit by a ranged attack, place a web token on its character card. The character may be given a power action to remove the web token, or roll a d6 as a free action: On a 5-6, remove the web token. When a character has a web token on its card, it cannot perform attacks or target other characters with any powers/abilities it possesses.

If I'm not mistaken they were cylindrical dials attached to the top of the regular disk dial. They had a little window that you could see some stats through. For Mech Warrior I think they represented overheating. For Spiderman I guess they could count down how much web fluid is left.

They are a little indicator on the top of a dial that keeps more information. You twist a little knob to show the amount of "heat" the mech was building up I believe. But you could keep any kind of information on it.

Creates a terrain marker (like Barrier or Smoke Cloud). This terrain marker requires a standard break-away roll, same as a figure would normally need to break away from another figure.

I'm hoping that because it's called "Web-Shooter" and not "Web-Shooting" it's going to be a special object that grants the power and can be used by anyone possessing Perplex (or some other typically smart guy power rather than Super Strength).

I was pretty close. I mentioned in another thread that I thought it would 4 web terrain markers... not just one, but would do the same thing... but close only counts in horseshoes and hand-grenades.

One a side note, if you have any of the spider web terrain markers from HorrorClix, these are perfect for this new mechanic. Mine are going in my tacklebox when I get home.

Not to toot my own horn, but I almost called it. It was just breakaway instead of attack.

Now that we have seen it, I really think it is less of a mechanic and more of just another special power. Calling it a mechanic feels a bit like an empty promotional ad-speak term. Though it is a perfect special power for Spidey, so no complaints there.

I like the new *power* as well. I, too, agree with you.. it's not a mechanic, but a marketing gimmick being sold as a new mechanic, but one I like.
