Makes sense. The chase figs that are the cheapest to get hold of now are the skrulls and the HoT ones. Niche figs that it is nice to have, but not essential. Black Lanterns, Superman, Batman and Marvel Zombies? Money makers. This set will have 4 chases I think, and will be essential to any Spidey fan's collection.

(Luckily, I am not too fussed by Spider-Man so will only be getting aound 15 figs from this set.)

Given the Black Lantern move in BatB, I reckon there'll be some uproar when the WoS chases are revealed.

I believe the price of the SR will be dependant on how many chases there are in the set. The more chases, the less the SRs will be. And I mean this is the medium term, after the initial high price of SRs due to it's newness. If there are 16 SRs in this set and no chases, the cost of the SRs will be quite a bit higher than the last couple sets.

I think you mean, "Unless you have proof, then you don't have proof." Not having proof doesn't mean she won't be in the set.

Maybe it'll be the Scarlet Spider sculpt Ben Misenar did a while back! That would make chase sense. And it wouldn't make TOO many people angry.

If there are sixteen SRs then the cost of SRs will go up regardless.

Let's take a hypothetical batch of forty-eight SRs with perfect distribution. In a twelve-SR set, you'll have four Deadpools. In a sixteen-SR set, you'll have three.

Assuming the total case production for the set was not updated to account for this, then this means a smaller total supply and no change in demand. There will be 25% fewer of each SR available for players, and secondary market prices will reflect this.

This is why the claims that people who "want" chases are "greedy" amuse me. Because the value of those four pieces may be lower, but the value of others will spike. The dogs will still hang out near the bottom, but the high figures... well, look at Sinestro or Superman Prime. Now eliminate 25% of the supply.

For myself, if there are now 16 SRs and no chases, I think I would like it better as it fits my spending habits a bit better.

I typically buy enough to pull enough SRs to be able to for the last 3-4 I need at 2 to 1 if I have to (so lets say for aguments sake my typical buy/pull gets me 15 - 16 ish). If I pull a chase, and I've pulled only 4 [Spiderwoman(SI), Wizard Shzam(OR), BL Kal-el(B&B), and BL Martian Manhunter(B&B)] is hit or miss.

Under the proposed new system I have a chance of getting the whole set without altering my spending habits (depending on trading requests of course......I hold no illusiuons that my extra SR Vapor would be worth a SR Cosmic Spiderman, in normal situations) .
If that is how it will work.
