Why dont wizkids make new team abilities for new teams?
like example oin this set they introduce x-force why not make teh x-force team ability and icon and put it on the x-force figures. instead of giving them existing team abilities or none at all.
It's very hard to keep up with the rules as it already is, adding new ones i think will only complicate the game more. as much as we love more teams i don't think we can handle it. thats just my biased opinion, but it's probably true.
just make them similar to existing ones and when building a team you need to take team abilities into consideration also whcih you would need to know anyway. so ti doesnt really hurt anyone. im pretty sure not that many people remember everything anyway. Tnhat si what the ability sheet thingy is for.
it isnt difficult to do. Or at least make them and make the ability similar or same as another. just to have the symbol there.
like x-force if they dont want to create somethign new they can just use the x-men teams ability with just a different synbol.
But where would you stop?
Let's take X-men as an example. At the moment, that symbol covers the following teams:
Excalibur
Exiles
Generation X
New Mutants
X-factor
X-force
X-men
X-statix
X.S.E.
...and probably some more that I'm forgetting. Not to mention that some of these teams (Excalibur, X-factor and X-force, for instance) has had several incarnations that has had little in common besides the name. That's 8 other symbols that need to be designed and added to the PAC. There is only so much room - not to mention that each new symbol costs money (design and printing isn't free).
Also, questions would arise. Would a member of X-force be allowed to exchange clicks with an X-man? If yes - there's no point at all in having different symbols. If no - that's an unneccesary complication.
