It is some weird, out-of-continuity Batman story conceived by Neal Adams.
While there were some pretty interesting parts to #1, the weird dialogue put me off a bit. I am skipping issue #2, but I will be back to pick up the issues that guest-star Aquaman.
Neal Adams' art still looks great.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
Yes, one of my all-time favorite artists definitely still has the touch. Not reading the series, but I have caught some of the images online and they are beautiful.
Yeah feeling the same way the story is abit confusing. It has slightly turned me off to getting two right away. I will still get it. But now it is not high on my list of must grab books when it comes out.
But it is soooo sweet seeing new Neal Adams artwork. It was his art work that drew me to Batman when I was but a little tyke and checking out the comics at my local corner store.
And still I am waiting for a new Desaad figure.....where is the Desaad love?
I was excited to see new Neal Adams work, but I was not impressed at all by either the writing or the artwork in the first issue. I won't be spending my money on this series. I expected a lot more from Mr. Adams.
