Score: 50%. Uh... right at the start she's not as good as Firehawk... for 18 points more. One activation click later you get Running Shot and Psychic Blast, but the PB's not dependable, it comes and goes.

And a Special Power that Pulse Wave *doesn't* ignore? That's annoying. What I liked about Pulse Wave is that there were no exceptions. Until now.

One thing to keep in mind is that you can target her with your own pulse wave if need be (Energy explosion too, but that'd be too difficult for what it's worth). A little awkward to pull off, but it could be useful. :D

Have to say I didn't understand her special power until I played in a game last night where an opponent used another of his pieces to Pulse Wave a small group and also healed Firestar of 1 click at the same time. She is a Pulse Wave taxi that doesn't have to run away.

No you can't. You can't target friendly figures with attacks. You need an enemy figure in range to activate Pulse Wave.. and friendly figures are not hit by Energy Explosion splash damage.

Friendly figures are TOTALLY hit by your own energy explosion. They can't be targeted, but if they're next to enemy pieces that get hit, they take damage too, or in Firestar's case, heals.

UltraDRGN: That's what I was thinking. I was about to be appalled if they changed it. Artarus: Of course you need an enemy character in the same pulse wave, just thought everybody would've picked up on that.

I don't understand the hate on her. She can move without taking your actions, then has the Spider-Man TA on top of that. Then Deflection for defense with several offensive options. The running blast on the 2nd and 3rd clicks just make her even better.

She is a perfect teammate of X-Ray. Too bad they can't carry each other. Oh, btw, she's also a Taxi. Another plus.

I like the click it's a good rep. for her. I just absolutely hate the sculpt I've repainted her & even with a repaint I've flushed more attractive things!

Played her in sealed and parked her up on elevation. She nearly took Bullseye out all by herself. She's a pretty good ranged attacker who can also taxi teammates for good movement. I like her.

Spider-Man's Amazing friend lives up to her adjective. This Diva's dial has a dual TA granting her Wild Card in addition to Avengers free movement. Free move taxis are always a welcome addition to a team, helpful for early positioning or late repositioning without eating up actions.

Flight and Running Shot keep her mobile and work well with her ranged attack power options swapping back and forth between the crowd controlling Energy Explosion and damage penetrating Psychic Blast. It's a little disappointing that she doesn't receive one click of 10 attack, maybe on her second or third to give her more incentive to keep pushing.

As it is, she'll want to push off her best defense, giving opponents an easier time dealing with her. Here the Poison on her Fantastic Forces version is sorely missed - an incentive for ground pounders to stay away from her.

Don't push her too much - she drops fast though Energy Absorption may help her rise like a Phoenix from the ashes. She might go out with a bang, that bare 15 Defense really just says "shoot me before I can Pulse Wave." In all her power set and team abilities make a nice package.

Speaking of packaging - the sculpt, representing her Perez/Busiek era Avengers membership, leaves a lot to be desired. In terms of complaints however, it's a minor one, and die-hards can swap it out with the Fantastic Forces sculpt easily.

Her cost pushes the limit of a secondary attacker and she's not a World Champion tournament winner, by any means but with several fun (read: non-min/maxed) Keywords, Firestar should be a blast for themers to play.

Love her, love her, LOVE HER, but the sculpt is HORRIBLE!

My only complaint with this figure is the fact that she doesn't have the spider-friends keyword!!!!!!! With her and spidey in the same set, and x-men giants coming out soon (with the potential for a new ice-man with the keyword) I really think this was just a missed opportunity by wizkids!!

This sucker's got me convinced..... I'm buying her!
