You could have won via MC. You would have to MC Thor and Loki and use them to knock out my Valkyrie. Valkyrie takes their damage and is KO'd BEFORE the action is completely over. At that point, I have no figures on the board and the game is over. You would win 38-0.

And even if the action must finish, you could MC AFTER Valk is KO'd. But now I'd have more points if you did that, so it's all for naught!

Here's a portion from the Rules Forum about the Mind Control thing. I've heard you suggest this before a while back, but the only case where what you are describing (MC'ing Thor and Loki to win the game because you don't have any figs on the map) can only happen with Deadman's Possession SP.

Basically, the Mind Control action must completely resolve in order for the game to end. Same reasoning why if I push my last fig in order to KO your last fig I would have to take the pushing damage before the game ended. I can't just say, "Your figure is gone so the game ends right now." I have to complete the action. Does that make sense?

I just don't want you trying that at worlds next year!

Well, there would have to be a Mind Controller worth playing at World's for me to try that. Unfortunately, those are few and far between.

Sorry sir. The tiny turn you posted must not have caught my eye at all. Unfortunately, I am in a very poor and good position right now. I have the lead, but if I move my Thor/Loki first, it puts a token on them, which allows you to out action me for a big strike with your heavy as I am too close to one end of the map to effectively pull away for a shot without getting close enough for you to base me.

(I move, you move in range to charge range. I may get a shot with my 2nd token, but you will either be able to Charge/Flurry me with 2HOs, or HSS HO attack me and run away while I have 2 tokens)

So best place for me to be is where I am, making you come towards me and take a token first.
