So since Cosmic Spidey has been talked about lately and his high price on the secondary markets like Ebay, others have been also mentioning that the Crisis Sinestro SR also goes for a hefty price on ebay.

I checked myself and saw a buy it now for $65, another buy it now for about the same price, and then a bid that was at $33 with 3 days left. I even checked some other Crisis Super Rares, but none of the ones I checked (I didn't check them all) went for even close to this.

I do have a Sinestro, but I was never aware of his value. I don't plan on selling him but I am just curious if anyone knows how come he's going for so much?

Popularity. easy to theme and a great piece. But mostly, popularity.

Sinestro is the most highly sought-after SR in Crisis, and even boosters of Crisis can be sold for a decent amount. His price has been about that high for awhile now.

If I am not mistaken, Crisis released closely in conjunction with the Sinestro Corps War (not sure before, durin or after, but I think it was close).

---Wouldn't feel right running the SC without him

That should touch a lot of bases. Oh, yeah, plus the set was popular and sold out, making it that much harder to get

Also, you shouldn't go by BIN listings for actual "value". Do a Completed Listing search instead.

But yeah, he's pretty high up there for all the reasons given already.

Oh I know. I noted that there was a bid going on for $33 with 3 days left. There were only 3 when I checked, the two buy it nows and the bid.

There are now two known shops in town with Crisis boosters left...


I Picked up 2 boosters today and pulled a Sinestro. I am pretty shocked at the listed prices myself. My other booster had Mary Marvel, Deathstroke and a nice looking Green Lantern. Out of the last 6 boosters I have purchased I have pulled 3 SR. The other two were Thor/Loki and Hela which challenges the notion of saving for bricks.

Figuring the potential trade value I am not sure I want to even fondle any of these figs at all now. As a noob I really need utility in quantity.

What "town" might this be?

I wonder if the Crisis Sinestro will lose alot of value when we see what the new Sinestro in DC 75th can do and gets released?
