Are there any game shops that do HeroClix event nights anymore? I moved to Vancouver in the last two years but only learned to play the game in the last month.

What part of Vancouver do you live in? I'm in Victoria now (for the last 6 years), but I do know that there is a place in downtown (in Yaletown) that hosts tournaments. I think they may have them on the weekend days though.
If you don't mind the drive, there's a place in Langley, Pastime Collectibles, that has a pretty good group that holds events on Sundays between 1 and 5 PM. Also Hourglass Comics in Port Moody (a bit closer to you) has some events.
If you don't know already, there's a local Clix site where you can check this stuff out: http://www.mysterious-stranger.com/forum/

I just checked their website. Apparently they play Thursday nights at 6PM.
Thank-you... I will look into it. I am not a serious player. I am a semi-broke chick who is looking to meet some people closer in my age bracket to chill once every couple of weeks and play. I am in the process of designing a 6 foot by 6 foot game table which will allow for 3-D maps. So who needs a game shop.

Why do people in Langley persist on assuming they are anywhere near the grid for Vancouver? Nope... that will not work in the least bit.

Either denial or wishful thinking... depending on the individual, I guess.
I'm actually planted squarely between both, in Delta, but I'd rather drive out to Langley than Van simply because I hate downtown traffic with an absolute passion.
Plus it gives me an excuse to stop in at Toy Traders just around the corner... which is never a bad thing!

Like so many who live in ACTUAL Greater Vancouver, I do not consider Delta even on the Map. A typical Vancouver local will consider their map to cover all of downtown Van, South and East Van, Burnaby, New West, Richmond, and on some special occassions North and West Van... and when we have to: Surrey. Essentially the SkyTrain defines my map. As a matter of fact, in my mind... Richmond was only added to the map last year!

The site needs traffic but there does appear to be a handful of active Van city players in that Van city site's forum. Thanks for the head's up. I am gonna start using it.
