What a beautiful song that I never heard before. readyeddy?, I want to thank you for putting these links out there.

The original by Julie Miller is my favorite by a wide margin. Really like it when it goes into duet mode.

I also found a version by Selah that I like second best. I thought my 76 year old mother might like this a bit more, and e-mailed that link plus Julie Miller's to her. There aren't that many songs that she and I can both enjoy, so was happy to send these. For some reason she has never liked some of my favorites like Dirt by The Stooges or All Along The Watchtower, but I think she'll like this.

Emmylou Harris has made great music for a long time, but I just don't think she is nearly as good as the original in this case.

I liked Julie Miller's better. It had a purer sound, less synth. On this song, that's a big plus.

Hey, I know why I didn't vote in this one when you posted it! Because I'm going to be working with Emmylou Harris in April and that was supposed to be a super secret at the time. But now I can brag about it and, hey, stop on by if you're going to be in Chicago in April. Tickets are only $250, but you can write off some of that as a charitable donation. Shilling aside, I actually have to vote against Emmylou here. As drfate98 siad, the duet is what really sells the original.
