Director Osborn nodded his approval as Agent Bright downed Sinestro. Clearly the man was on the fast-track for promotion. With the agent capably taking care of his situation, Osborn turned his attention to re-calibating the Stark-tech gauntlet he had scrounged. Something didn't quite go as expected, though, as the unit sparked, fizzled, then got white hot and seared his hand. With a curse, he hurled it away.

Turn 15- Final

"Osborne," Brainiac leveled his gun, "As I stated before, you cannot win. Your feeble attempts to stop me will be in vain."

Brainiac fired off a volley of shots that Osborne's soldier jumped in front of.

"You hide behind lackeys and grunts," Brainiac plugged into the computer next to him and began integrating himself into the system, "And in another time, I might see that as worthy of a challenge, but like most humans," Brainiac unplugged, "You fail to see the big picture."

Brainiac's eyes lit up red as he turned to the room next to him.

"We got it Brainiac," Captain Cold smiled as a boom tube opened up next to him, "Great job distracting the schlub. The Osborne tech suit is ours!"

"Excellent," Brainiac smiled as his comrades disappeared, "Each one was equipped with a mother box just in case they should fall. I should say when they would fall, most of them humans or humanoid, so frail...so flawed."

A boomtube opened up behind Brainiac which Captain Cold jumped through, suit in hand.

"Do not attempt to follow us. You will be too busy disarming the nanotech I have uploaded into your computer main frame. You have 10 minutes before they activate the self destruct function of your precious building. It will take you that long to try to wipe the systems. Good bye Norman Osborne of this Earth. We shall meet again. And next time..." the boom tube closed around Brainiac.

(meanwhile, back at the hall of Doom)

"You could not let me have the final say?" Brainiac glared at Scarecrow and Grundy, who stared sheepishly at the monitor.

"I FEARED it would be too late if I let you monologue like that...."

"Grundy push buttons..." Grundy smiled at Brainiac.

"Captain Cold has retrieved the armor." Brainiac ignored Grundy, "Let us prepare the battlesuit."

"Luthor's gonna be pleased when he finally wakes up from that concussion," Scarecrow rubbed his hands together.

"Grundy HATE concussion!"

"If I was human, I would give anything to have such a concussion that would get me away from you inferior beings."

"Grundy confused."

"Let's go Grundy," Captain Cold pulled Grundy into the hallway, "Leave the good doctor and the toaster to their work."

Great game DC! Some good and bad rolls for both of us there!

I have to say, I love this version of Brainiac!! A definite all-star for me.

If I could just have gotten ONE more SA for Sinestro...sigh.

Yeah, Brainiac really rocked it! I just couldn't tag him, and his damage output was really on.

You could always consider the pre-season attendance upgrade for Sinestro so he gets to upgrade and still keep his stats.

I figured after Moonstone and a couple of my troopers went down that'd it be all downhill from there, but they hung in remarkably well. Those Agents are a ton of fun!

Now we've just got to scheme our way to a Superbowl rematch!

"That could have went better." said Moonstone.

"You think!?!" said Osborn, picking up his true face and putting away where no one could see it. "This just proves we need more manpower...we need to replace the Hood or get him and his network back on the Cabal."

"And the suits they stole?" asked Daken.

"Don't worry about those." said Norman, calming down, little by little. "Luthor took them to show he could. He won't actually use them. He's like Doom, everyone else is below him in his eyes. I'msure he will just melt them down."

"Did I stutter, Sinestro?" said Luthor. "Melt them down!"

"But why...?" began Cheetah.

"Bececause we can...and to show Osborn who is the senior partner in this deal." said Luthor. "For all we know, he may have planted bombs or bugs into this...quaint device. Melt. Them. Down. Then reconfigure them... into the Legion of Doom's new commode! And Norman video of you doing it!" Luthor walked away, pleased with himself.

BREEEEP!!!!! "Sir! An interdimensional signal from the Hall of Doom." a H.A.M.M.E.R. agent said. "You said..."

"Yes, patch it through." Norman saw with horror as the screen showed his latest battle suit in the Legion's bathroom....Sinestro using his power ring to generate enough temperature to melt it, then shape it...and was that the Gorilla...eating a bunch of burrittos? It couldn't be, they wouldn't literally flush that kind of money and research would they?

"Hey Normie!" the annoying Toyman came into view. "Like our new improvement to homestead? Grodd, show him how well it works!" Grodd went at it with gusto.

Norman pushed th off button, but the scene continued. "Ah, Ah, Normie." said the Toyman. "No signing off until we are finished here. I believe I here others knocking at the door.

"Solomon Grundy want to use bathroom!" boomed the zombie's voice.

"Do you really want to miss that, Normie?" the Toyman cackled. "I mean, who knew the undead could even go? But sinestro used his ring to make sure Grundy could, just. for. you!"

"Enough!" Norman tried to turn away, but found he couldn't even do that.

"Have you tried to leave yet, Normie?" said the Toyman. "And found out you couldn't? That would be one of Sinestro's blasts, combined with the sound of my voice forcing you to stay until Luthor dismisses you!" Grundy bursts in, and knocks Grodd over.

"Grundy has to go NOW!" Grundy quickly sat down.

'I will spare you that, Osborn." the scene cut to Luthor's private study in the Legion of Doom's secret HQ. "By now I trust you see the power I can bring to bear if I want. But I see no need to fight between us. This world you left us...which has no alien pulling the wool over everyone's eyes, will be better for us being here."

"And I have begun making this one a better place." said Osborn.

"Good." said Luthor. "Then I suggest we keep these lines open, and keep our egos...and superegos...and ids...and whatever else you have in there in check lest I decide my Legion needs to run 2 worlds. Are we clear, Osborn?"

"Was that a threat, Luthor?" Osborn was beginning to see green.

"Not at all." said Luthor. "Besides those on site, you can call on what, 2 others? A God of Mischief and an armor plated despot? They might help for a moment, but against the full, unfettered might of my Legion? How long can Doom's armor stand against blows that can at the least, shatter asteriods? Or withstand the coldness of space when projected from someone's eyes-or a gun? What good are Loki's mind tricks against a Zombie, an advanced Gorilla and an imperfect clone all immune to such things AND able to see through illusions in some cases? What good s it to have an enforcer like Daken when the Scarecrow is simply incapable of fear? Only one being makles him afraid, and Logan-Lite isn't him."

"And Moonstone? What good are her analytical skills against 2 nutjobs like the Scarecrow and the Riddler? And while her power set is big to you, she's barely Teen Titan level to us. Bullseye? A man who hits whatever he aims at? Hmm, lets see, Brainiac, have you heard of such a thing?"

"the Justice League member Green Arrow has defeated numerous..." began Brainiac.

"That's enough."Luthor waved his hand. "You have to cutr him off quick, or else... and I still have members to spare. Members that regularly take on the Strongest female in the universe you currently reside in. Would Songbird like to go take a stab at Wonder Woman one on one? No? Then I'm just stating fact here, Osborn. Make sure not to forget it. Luthor out."


"I really, really, hate that man." said Osborn to no one in particular.
