I am really really sorry to bring up this question, because it is really really silly....but it was argued at my venue tonight and 2 players got super upset saying that another was "being too serious".
So here it is:
When a character with the trick shot feat targets an opposing character who is standing in hindering terrain does the target character get the hindering terrain bonus?
Like I said I know this is a silly question and again I'm sorry, but I have to clarify on here to prove to them that the way it was judged is correct.
As always, it helps to quote the text of the feat.
Quote
Choose a character. When making an attack from a square that is not adjacent to an opposing character, the character ignores Stealth and team abilities that duplicate the effects of Stealth, and it ignores characters and hindering terrain for line of fire purposes.
Your line of fire ignores the fact that it is crossing hindering terrain when using this feat, therefore, it's the same as if it didn't cross hindering terrain at all. The target of a character using this feat will not get the hindering terrain modifier.
Most likely they heard about how Captain America's SP never gets blocked but still gets the bonus then incorrectly assumed that this applied elsewhere.

Conversely, a number of players believe Sharpshooter is the equivalent of Trickshot and think those figures ignore Hindering and Stealth.
No wonder players get confused is they don't keep the cards in front of them and just go with what they remember reading somewhere...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
I think most questions are addressed if you just look at the game text (and not how one imagines such a mechanic would work in comics)
Aw come on, man.
If people start doing that, then we will no longer be blessed with people repeatedly b@#%hing about not being able to Outwit Stealthed people while adjacent.
