Can AA #016 Batman make use of the Dissent feat? His special power allows him to use Outwit, but only on standard powers. Dissent allows an outwitter to counter something they normally couldn't (a team ability) - does the same hold true for Batman?
(NBPerp) If this came up now, I'd probably say that he could not use Dissent. Using a feat has always meant that it was within the confines of what the special power limited the use of the prerequisite power. In this case, the special power limits what Batman can use Outwit on. Had the special power said "But he cannot counter special powers," that would have allowed for Dissent to be used.
When exactly are Web special terrain markers placed in the square of the target character? This timing is important if the character is knocked back because if they Web is placed immediately, then knock back would move the character out of the square containing the Web and it would then be removed from the map. If the Web is placed later, though, then it would be placed in the square the target character occurpies after resolving knock back and would still have to deal with the Web.
(normalview) The placement of Web special terrain markers varies a bit depending on the specific powers being used. For example, WS #009 Venom's special power makes it clear that the Web is placed after the Telekinesis action is resolved. However, other special powers, like WS #022 Spider-Man's Web Cocoon only says that that the Web is placed after the character is hit, with no further indication as to the timing. To me, that says the Web is placed as soon as the target character is hit, prior to doing anything else (including knock back), but it is ambiguous enough that it will be reviewed further.
AN #050 Superman has a trait that allows him to make a free close combat attack in certain situations if he uses Leap/Climb - what exactly qualfies as "using Leap/Climb"? For example, if Superman were using Lunge and used the second part of Leap/Climb to attack a character on a different elevation after using Lunge, would that count as "using Leap/Climb" for the trait?
(normalview) We're still considering the issue, but at the moment the way the trait reads would include any use of Leap/Climp. So as long as the other conditions in the trait are met, attacking a character on a different elevation would currently activate the trait.
Can Falcon/Fly-By pick up and carry his original passenger after using Charge?
I would think not. I would think that if he can't carry another character (which is the ruling we've been given), he can't carry anyone.
Is BBM's Kick-Me trait not in effect when he gets KO'd? For example, can he be healed by Hela's Touch of Life special power?
(added 2-28-11 by normalview) Bag-Man isn't defeated if Hela rolls high enough, so his trait would technically still be in play... which means he can't be healed. But if he can't be healed, then he WILL be defeated since he is currently showing KOs on his dial. In this extreme corner case, I'd personally rule that Bag-Man just can't benefit from Hela's Touch of Life. No healing means he can't come back. However, I wouldn't be surpised if others feel differently.
