So far Deadpool has been my favorite clix from the WoS set due to his hilarity factor. Last game I played him was on a X-Force team and he was triple teamed by Green Arrow, White Lantern Superboy, and Kyle Rayner. By the end of the game he was still around thanks to the combined abilities of Rediculous Regeneration, Prob Control, Super Senses, and Regeneration. It always seemed that one of those abilities would save him, even when he took a critical hit from Kyle Rayner, after Prob control, failed his Super Senses, he made his roll of a 6 and was healed instead.
Played a 600 Pt DC Game tonight in which we were allowed 1 Marvel piece. Took me all but a half second to whip this guy out only to pair him w/Crisis Deathstroke - Green Arrow - Robin - Karate Kid & AA Man-Bat for a sweet Martial Artist Theme Team. He survived multiple attacks from SR Valkyrie, DC75 SR Wonder Woman (my opponent loves women on horses, I suppose) & BD Hawkgirl. Took all my theme PCs, a couple regen rolls & a little PC from himself leaving my opponent in serious rage about how overpowered he is, etc. Heehee, I love it ;-)
deadpolll vs. a 600 point team......... i took out puma and metron befor
getting k.o.'d by martian manhunter dead shot and others...
his trait puts the whole game to luck. this is the best charicter in the game in MY opinion, rate him for yourself.
"The problem is not the problem; the problem is your attitude about the problem."
Playing Deadpool is just like reading one of his comics, you have no clue what you're in for but it's a great ride to get there. They nailed it with this one.
I prefer Deathstroke, Deadpool have good atk values and atk & move, but he's a glass jaw, he's trait depends too much of a good luck. In a 300 pt game he's not good unless you really prepare a good team for him. He shouldn't be a SR. I will like a dial for him similar to the Maverick from MM with RS and PT. I really like the character but... say that "this is the best click ever" or "in the top 10 of wos"... it's lying big time.
just played in a 500 pt game x-force vs the fantastic four (with bag-man). he rolled his trait 4 times! also got super senses a few times. the F4 eventually one though, but he was annoying to take out.
After playing him a lot and playing against him a little, I have to say that Deadpool is a monster that is definately a finesse piece. He is too glass jawed to be a tent pole, and too many points to be backup; so he cannot operate like either. He is fantastic in a higher point game where you can maximize his wild card use.
Positives: high damage potential with insane attack values, prob control and perplex. The regen + prob control combo help Deadpool land the needed 5-6 on his regen to really effective clicks.
Negatives: his trait is entirely unreliable. Clicks 5-7 have bad damage + bad defense values. At that point Deadpool should be retreating somewhere safer.
All of his clicks are similar, but different in effect and playstyle. Playing the 'pool with his X-Force buddies can really help his dial management. In my opinion, Deadpool lives on click 3, and the goal is to get his there as fast as possible. Clicks 2 and 4 have extremely high damage potential, but require some set up: phase to the spot, take the shot on a push. For click 2, that is great, because it puts him on his most effective + defensive click. For click 4, its not so good, putting him on his least effective click--so the push better be worth it.
17 starting D, 12 starting A with running shot, the ability to SOAK damage like nobody else (as long as you roll 4-6) his early dial perplex for either boosting himself up or carrying his team's "shoot me target". Clicks 2-4 serve as his "sweet spot" with click 5 giving him Blades/claws/fangs and really good late game knock out power and click 6-7 give him the ability to regenerate and PC incoming attacks making him quite well worth the 158pts. His sheer ability to tank and spank (pardon me for borrowing those terms from MMO's) if played right can leave your opponent crying if he does not have the damage to eat through his dial quickly. Being a jack-of-all-trades piece with the ability to carry a full team on his dials makes him a solid piece.

In the hands of the right player this toon is the sickness,on him I run Alias (3pts)to give him three chances to save when he is on his ss and protected(8pts) to soak the damage after the trait fails when it matters.
I think he is best in 300pt formats as a center piece due to his ability to put out a consistant 5 damage when run with another cheap perplexer(:inner voice:crit plus knock back !!SEVEN!!).
This fig is definitely for the more exp player becuase it is easy to get him one shotted(if your a noobxD!).
i played x-force and beat the watchmen with mostly deadpool. After that we had a small fight of deadpool with auto regn(170 pts) vs Dr. Manhattan(276 pts) and deadpool won. it came down to using his starting area as a shooting gallery because with his stupid defence speical he just kept bouncing from one side of it to the other.
