This week we'll have this championship (1200 points, Modern Age, Marvel only or DC only) and I'm trying to make a Marvel team with what I have - I'm still sort of a beginner, so I have relatively few figures (no SRs, LEs or chases). I created two variations of a team, and would like advice as in which to use, what map to choose and generally on how to improve it.

(I'll fill both teams with bystanders for Immortus' Mastermind)

The second one loses some Outwit (less useful because of the Quitessence/Power Cosmic I'm likely to find) and PC, as well as a good tie up piece (spidey). However, I believe that Psycho-Man's Mind Control (without taking feedback damage) can make a lot of difference with so many powerful pieces in play; I'm planning on perplexing his attack with Fabian Cortez, TKing him into range and using it to surprise the opponents and cause a huge damage. On the late game, his "doubt" power can also be helpful, avoiding un-outwitable super senses and impervious.

So, what do you think about it?

i like the first one better. i think you can find better use of points than danger and nurse. especialy with the 22 points left before any cuts.

from my play experience, the best 2 figures you have are the spiderman and ms. marvel

I find Danger a very useful piece, though I never used her on a very high point game... probably will be keeping her, if only for her power of preventing enemies from modifying their values up.

I'm thinking of chosing the first team, and maybe remove Nurse and Black Tom to put a Nightcrawler. I'm just not sure if he would play OK at this much points, as he has sort of low damage...
Other pieces I considered for the team were Bishop, Victor Mancha and AoA Jean Grey, but I do not know what to take out to make room for them.
