You can't use Protected with his trait. You would have to use it before the trait kicks in. Protected stops damage from being dealt. Once it is dealt, his trait kicks in and tells you how much damage Deadpool takes. Since he is not being dealt damage by his trait you cannot use protected in conjunction with the damage coming from the trait.
HUZZAH! We now have a ruling in "The Final Word" Deadpool cannot gain the benefits of the feat Protected. At least 99% of the time in regards to attacks.

Just name it God and get it over with. I hate this character, and the power-love for the dial from the creators borders on the obscene. In the words of Pee Wee- Why don't you marry it, NECA? lol
For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
sabretooth would only affect his trait when he rolls a 6 while already mortaly wounded, deadpool would still take zero damage, but not heal one. but sabretooth's mortal wound wouldn't prevent him from healing if he rolled a 4-6 on his trait when trying to hit him with mortal wound because he wouldn't TAKE the full 3 damage
i will NOT "retract" my previous statement, but deadpool IS, and always will be AMAZING, though he IS a "wild card" and COULD be a waste of points, as far as I have played him, he has gone both ways for me.. he went "BEAST MODE" the first time i played him, but the secound time it wasnt exactly "perfect" he literaly "kicked the bucket" as it were....
(for those of you who dont understand my quote "kicked the bucket", he took x amount of damage placing him on his last click, then i rolled the terrible 1 for his spec power......."kicked the bucket".......)
"The problem is not the problem; the problem is your attitude about the problem."
I still think that he is a little too expensive for 7 clicks. I've played him where he got hit twice for 3 damage, rolled a 2 and a 1. KO. Hard to justify for 158 pts. Maybe if he had super senses on click 1 I'd feel a little safer. He's good though, great attack, great powers, but fittingly like Deadpool it's dangerous and unpredictable to play him.
I'm gonna have to wait until I play him to pass judgement. The dial looks fun, full of powers and fairly consistent combat values. 9 keywords are nice for variety, but a lot of them are relatively new and hard to build a team around (Deadpool Corps? I think he's the only one....) The mid and late dial prob control is fun for kicks, but I think the Regeneration Trait is what's going to kill this character for a lot of people. By Murphy's Law, whenever I deal him damage, he'll heal himself, and if I ever play him, I'll end up adding additional damage. Why couldn't he have a Trait similar to this set's Wolverine instead?
beacuse very simply that would be no "fun" or very comic book "accurate"

Oh man. Deadpool has always been my favorite character. This dial is SUPER comic accurate... while he's unpredictable, if you don't throw him into a situation where he'll get slaughtered, he can basically last FOREVER.
Lately I've been teaming him up with LE Cable, and that has been working SUPER well. That team itself is way comic accurate... Cable is the tough guy, Deadpool is the distraction, and they can save each other pretty well if need be.
His high attack makes him a solid running shot user, and regen + senses, and later prob control, means that he's just as frustrating for your opponent as he has been for most opponents in the comics. I agree that he shouldn't have sharpshooter, as in the comics there are plenty better shooters than him... Agent X, for example [who really needs a figure made of him soon... hint hint]. I'd like to see him have better close combat skills earlier in the dial, but he gets them later, so I can't complain.
Overall, this is my favorite heroclix piece in my possession.
At my venue today I played Deadpool, Aron Stack, and Howard the Duck vs The Warriors Three. Deadpool pretty much single handley took down The Warriors Three after Aron and Howard were KO'd early in the game. I have no complaints.

I don't know why people always argue against Deadpool having Sharpshooter. Like Bullseye, Deadpool has perfect aim.
Thats quite wrong actually. His aim was really good until Alex hayden(agent X) was pulled from deadpool. In that story arc they made it quite clear deadpool was best with non-firearm weapons and that alex was the sharp-shooter.
Yes current writers forgot/ignore/are oblivious to this but it is canon, much like how deadpool was cursed with life by thanos and is quite literary immortal.
This is a great representation of Deadpool. If he had the GSX LE's SP of "New Writer" I feel he would be the definitive Deadpool. I love the Ridiculous Regeneration, and yhe sculpt is awesome. Since he is a wildcard, I would assume (arsee of you and me) that GSX Prof. X could use him as an honorary "X-Antenna" and outwit/psychic blast fools to soften up a target for the merc with a mouth. I love that Deadpool got to be a super rare! Katana-rama!!!
