so i have a feeling ill be playing against this guy a lot coming up in friendly games and just wanted to get the rulings right on the def SP. If he gets hit with psyblast or EW can he still roll the for imp and teleport away on a 3-4? or does he still take the full dmg and the imp roll is pointless? or does he take the dmg and then teleport away? thanks!
THAT DIDN'T KILL OSTERMAN...: Dr. Manhattan can use Impervious, but on a roll of 3-4, instead of the normal effect, you may choose to reduce the damage dealt to 0 and place Dr. Manhattan in your starting area.
Psychic Blast is penetrating damage and would bypass this power just like it would normal Impervious.

He gets to roll even when the damage is penetrating.
On a 3-4, he could choose to move. There would be no reduction, but nothing about penetrating ignores Impervious or its roll.

Ahhh yes, missed that part. I guess I didn't think of that, because most of the time, when penetrating damage is dealt to a character with Impervious, there is no reason to roll the dice. With Dr. Manhattan there certainly is.

Not many times does it matter. WL Supes is another example.
