I have not seen a Zor Macros in action. I only play the Martians while the people I play against use Apes and the occasional Triton. I suppose I will learn this new errata and relay the info to the guys.

Oh goodness.
Macros can go over to your side of your field moving 9 spaces, then deal 4 to 6 damage(Depends on the buildings), and then hit and runs on top of water to then power down. WHICH then leads to him respawning.
All that before you get a monster turn.
The Gencon champion/ Moncon finalist plays Macros like a dream. He is actually one of my irl monpoc/League of Legends friends.
We played online one night and he ended up killing Drillcon in less than 4 activations. It was one of the games that made me stop playing online for a while.
Enough to know I don't like your condescending attitude. I'm trying to make the new rule on Beacon clear. I don't care how much what gets played, I'm just correcting your misinformation about the errata.

That wasn't condescending. You would know if I was.
I was just letting you know the substitutes that you said aren't a viable option in a competitive game setting. Maybe around the kitchen table, but on Vassal, @Gencon, and @Moncon. You're buildings will be sniped the turn you get set up. Especially now that Robo will only be used in uci. The Radio Telescope is the first thing I go after when facing Martians and Tritons. If I let it stay to long, then the units have a 7 range on my Tectomoc.
I copied and pasted the article from TC so that's on Robert.

Why? I'm not discussing tactics or strategy, I'm talking rules. You, Robert, or anyone saying that Beacon is FAC only is wrong, I was correcting this mistake.

I REALLY want to write some mean stuff, but I will just say he rewrote it. It was late Easter night when the errata came out.
* Solid now also negates Beat Back as well as Smash.
* Beacon, if on a faction figure, is now a faction only ability.
* Massive now also negates Toss as well as Throw.
One of the things you have to remember is that while Macros can be pretty awesome, there is a 50% chance his player doesn't win map role, and his Sprint to the water/hyper down trick doesn't work. If he doesn't win map choice, he can be in for a long game. Shadow Sun needs to strike quickly and end the game ASAP. The longer the game goes, the better chance SSS gets taken down.
While Brontox's Beacon got nerfed, he can still be a good choice for Amplify. R&D in for 1, moves for 5 w/ 4 defense. Much better option than the Tanker Truck.
As for the SoL/Radio Telescope, they do become quick targets, but it's still possible to keep them around for awhile. Again, a lot has to do with map choice.
