Razor Wings: Archangel can use Blades/Claws/Fangs. Archangel can be given a close combat action as a free action instead of a close combat attack while using Hypersonic Speed.

So what is the point of given Archangel a free close combat action instead of an attack?
It allows him to use powers and abilities that are normally activated by a close combat action. Most of the time, it gives him a way to use Blades/Claws/Fangs with his Hypersonic Speed (normally, they are incompatible). However, if he were to be able to other powers or abilities activated by a close combat action, he could use those, too. For example, if Archangel had been able to weild the Mjolnir special object, he could use Quake with Hypersonic Speed.
