IC Unique Thanos has to go down as the most over hyped figure in the history of the game. That particular Thanos is supposed to wield THE INFINITY GAUNTLET the most powerful item in the Marvel Universe. REALLY that Thanos supposed to be wielding THE MOST POWERFUL WEAPON IN THE MARVEL UNIVERSE

Lol yeah the IC Thanos is pretty terrible. It'd be awesome if they made a large Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet.

There was a time when this piece would absolutely dominate the board when used properly.

Might have to play him again with a couple of Dominators and Ruling Caste Dominators.

On further reflection, he's still a very effective figure. Given the direction of the game back in 2002, it makes sense that he's stripped down; his 14-15 AV and a full dial (11 clicks) more than makes up for it. In today's game, he can pick up the Crimson Gem, Mjolnir, or the Scorpio Key to increase his damage output and gain a few useful powers for next to nothing. Thanos can use Mercenary in higher point games to borrow a team ability, and his low end-dial DV means that he's easy to heal.

They are making Thanos as a Huge Fig with the infinity Gauntlet. I saw it at GenCon. AWESOME!!!!!! (Also a Warlock with the gauntlet on but smaller normal base fig)<--- Awesome!!!!

I'm excited to see how he'll play with a full-power Infinity Gauntlet. :D

Just the idea of a 17 AV puts a big dumb grin on my face.

Can't wait to get him to Ultimate Godhood on click 3.

My friend always killed me with him. He was dominating.
As for today's game, he has high AV. His damage is so so, and his Defence is better then most figs it's ag, but just barley passes today.
He is not a good of his points, but if you want to run it for some reason, you would get owned too hard.
I suppose you could abuse that AV with Feats, Guantlet, Etc. But that is the best way to use it well. Other versions are better.
Also....AVENGERS MOVIE 2: Thanos!

Just picked him up in a trade, played him + Gauntlet vs. GG45 Thanos and mopped the floor with him. It's like they designed the Gauntlet to be used with this fig! Breathes life into the duffy old guy.

Nul's hammer is way better since it also adds Willpower.

Just push this guy to his 15 Attack click and throw him in a vehicle. Somehow get that vehicle to use EE and use that Bruce Banner that gives you a +1 to EE damage.

Because of the big guys new movie stardom, and we were having a golden age event at my venue, I made a Thanos-centric team. Thanos, the Infinity Gauntlet resource, and Thanos' Throne (at 135) The last 40 pts was a Doombot 5953 because it was in my box.
Letting Opponent go first the throne teleports out and Pulse Waves someone. This pushes the dial down via Autopilot. Thanos uses Space Gem power to teleport, carrying Doombot to be at 10 range to someone. This spins Gauntlet. When chair has been knocked down to Running Shot or HSS dial, reunite Thanos and Throne. Then have that mobile, high defense, high AV, move and shoot! If Doombot is still on map, all the better.
It takes a few turns to get up to full power, but we had lots of laughs about When Furniture Attacks!
To echo a previous post; it feels like the Gauntlet and throne were made with THIS Thanos in mind. Also if you take Thanos off his stand, he can sit on the throne! Awkwardly, it looks like has space hemorrhoids! Maybe that's why he's so angry...
