Just a thought:

REPLACE THE SPIDER: Doppelganger can use Exploit Weakness, but only to target characters named "Spider-Man" or characters possessing the Spider-Man team ability. When he does, the target cannot use team abilitys and the attack cannot be evaded.

So if doppelganger did hit cosmic spiderman would that then make it so cosmic could no longer use power cosmic and well as his wildcard ability?

Im also guessing if that wildcard was say mystics then doppelganger would not take the feedback damage correct?

?How long does that last for (the rest of the game?)?

They can't use the TA during the attack.

So a Defender couldn't share DVs, Mystics couldn't retaliate, Suicide Squad couldn't heal, etc.

With Power Cosmic, there really is no downside to it not functioning during the attack since Doppelganger isn't doing anything to him that PC would care about. Not being able to use CSM's wild card, on the other hand, could have lots of practical implications for the game.

these effects are only "on" for the specific attack.

What if.
Doppelganger had the Crimson Gem of Cytorakk, and hit Cosmic Spiderman with the Lampost 3D object, when he was using Exploit Weakness.
WOULD cosmic spiderman take pushing damage, if it would give him a second action token?

No. Pushing damage is not dealt during the attack (when the TA can't be used). Pushing damage is dealt as the action that placed the token resolves.

okay that kinda puts a damper on ideas but still great to know and maybe one day see happen.

I thought they changed it so that Pushing is damage is dealt as actions resolve instead of after.

I mean Mystics is after the damage is dealt too...so wouldn't that be turned back on by the time it was time to reflect that damage?

As you can see from my post, that is correct. However attacks and actions are not the same thing. For example, Flurry (we'll use that as an example, since Doppy can use that power) is activated by one single close combat action that includes, nested within it, two separate attacks.

Some game effect that occurs with attack 1 (say he attacks a Mystic) would not necessarily have anything to do with attack 2 (he could attack another target) or the action itself as a whole (assuming the Mystics damage didn't knock him off of Flurry).

The TA can't be used during the attack. That as far as it goes.

You are trying to target the Skrull with an attack. Selecting the target is part of the attack.

I was already excited about no super senses. And of course no shape change but also that team ability is so sweet against wild cards. But can it flurry cosmic enough for the win?!!
Granted he can catch him. But we will leave that to the support figs.

You can't use Flurry and Exploit weakness.
He only deactivates his targets spiderman TA when he uses Exploit weakness.

So you cannot use flurry and ignore the team ability.
