Really surprised to find three different covers for a Babe Ruth tune.

There's a reason why the Disco Circus only had 280 views.
Yolanda Be Suck sucked almost as much. Just not my cup of tea.
It's not really a song I'd ever willingly listen to again, but in the one on one matchup of Jellybean Vs Babe Ruth, I gotta go with Jellybean. Everything sounded crisp and while that doesn't automatically mean it's better, in this case it goes a long way to defining it as the better version.

Listening to the covers was quite painful.

Janita Haan does the vocals for Jellybean and I suspect that's her vocals on the disco Circus cover as well.

Yup, I know, and I can't say about Disco Circus either (I don't want to listen to this again). The main problem was the arrangements, not the singing.

Jellybean for me, it is cleaner sounding.

Not voting this time. Didn't like any of them well enough to merit a click.

Techno-ing it up did no favors for either of the last two versions. Between the original and Jellybean, I preferred the original. It was like the difference between a somewhat juiced up mariachi band and the "samba" setting on your typical keybord. I'll take the mariachi band.

I'm a big fan of Babe Ruth. I was delighted to find a song of their's that had been covered though I would have liked to see more from their self named album or Stealin' Home.

The Jellybean cover is pretty good, they even took the time to bring in Janita Haan to redo the vocals.

I gotta stick with the original though. This band is up there with Captain Beyond for me as a great overlooked 70s band.
