I thought w/ the new rules a figure can't ignore willpower & choose to take a pushing damage. Then I saw a recent post in units stating this still works. So does it? I want to push Howard to get to perplex.
When a power or ability indicates that the character “may” do something, that indicates an option that the player of that character can make when the situation presents itself. Other than that, powers and abilities are not optional.

IMPERVIOUS When this character is dealt damage, roll a d6. On a result of 5 or 6, the damage dealt is reduced to 0. On a result of 1–4, the damage dealt is reduced by 2.
So by reasoning, we can consider the Willpower "optional," but the Impervious and similar powers are not "optional."
