Seconding this. From a database perspective, retirement should logically be tied to a set, not to an individual figure.

But then there's the Classics reprints.

Reprints should be defined as new figures belonging to the new set (ie. Classics). It wouldn't make sense to have a many-to-many relation between a figure and a set anyway.

But the originals are still modern age, despite the set they are in.

While you are technically correct, few players using the units section would see the Classics Nick Fury in a search and not know that. It could certainly be done quite easily with SQL, but I don't know what we can reasonably ask for and expect to get implemented.
