Honestly, kinda bored me and it went on forever. I'll give it to Genesis since they just came up with it, and not to the Flower Kings who had the misguided idea "Hey, let's cover it."

Sounds like 70s prog rock isn't really your thing.

Eh, not so much. Some of it's okay.

Genesis! Yep.

The Flower Kings try but they don't match Peter Gabriel here.

I could listen to the whole Genesis song without any problem, not so on the other band.

And that's all that I'd have to say about that...had I been the one to say that.

(But even so, that wouldn't mean I enjoyed either of 'em)

That said...

The Original -- Genesis, I guess.

I'm a little surprised by the way opinions are going for these. Doesn't seem like it should be so lopsided. I actually did like quite a bit of progressive rock from way back when, and both of these also bore me a bit. Although Genesis seems a little "crisper" in the first half of their version, it never actually goes anywhere. The Flower Kings really kick it up several notches in the second half of their cover, and I enjoy some parts of the last half; its more what I consider progressive rock.

In the end, I also don't love either, but some of the cover is interesting. None of the original appeals to me.

I prefer the cover by The Flower Kings.

7-1 against the Flower Kings? Thank goodness I was here to prevent a shut out!!
