Aside from the lack of the Marshall Rogers costume (though that is a great sculpt of the Gage-era costume), this is as close to perfect a Deadshot as we're likely get until an ardent Deadshot fanboy wins Gencon. The folks complaining about a high attack value clearly don't know the character very well. Lawton pulls his shots against Batman, but he hits everything else and knows how to find opponents' weak spots.

the triumphant return of deadshot. i dont know if he exemplifies how i think of deadshot, but a great piece none the less. tk, or a good taxi deffinitely increase his effectiveness, as well as keeping ur opponent tied up with some secondary attackers. keep the focus off of him and he will create giant smoldering holes in their tentpole.
All this hate saying he's too overpowered. It's just not true. His DVs offset that and make it so most any figure can hit him. When the average AV is 9, considering all figures made this being a guess, you'll only need a 7 to hit. The guy is six clicks deep and needs it least 28pts more to be mobile with his SP. Plus he's paying extra for the :bolt::bolt: which he most likely won't even use since it doesn't pair with his SP. Base him with a Stealth figure and now you don't have to worry about that SP. He's great, just not Overpowered. The high AV is his thing in that it shows the nigh-impossible shots he can make.

He's not overpowered, his low defense make his point cost correct. About a crossover? MAYBE... Bullseye will win... but as a characther, Floyd is way way way more interesting than Lester.
Why not 5 stars?
He got deadly AV plus an awesome SP, 2 bolts and very nice keywords (at least for a DC hardcore fan). How many figs can attack with 12 AV dealing 4 penetrating damage plus sharpshotter under 100pto value? Play it with a bunch of Multiplex and keep everybody distracted with the "Cannon fodder"
It is awesome!
Hands down...one of the best pieces in the heroclix universe. For only 89 points you get a major powerhouse. I used him for the first time last night against an x-force team of domino, archangel and cable...cable was in stealth so i moved my detective chimp next to him and used outwit on his stealth and ranged combat expert attack with deadshot and did 4 clix to cable right away...the rest is history. Love this piece!!
@al2mrt: That should not have worked. Outwit requires a line of fire to be drawn and just being adjacent to a figure does not allow you to draw a line of fire to them. A stealthed figure standing in hindering terrain cannot have line of fire drawn to it at at all (even by itself). Outwit would not work in this scenario. Still, I agree that the he is a very good figure.
Only been playing a couple months. I bought some lots off Ebay and I got a few Deadshots. I wasn't very familiar with him but when I read his card and played with him I just fell in love with this piece. You have to play him right, but he gives incredible value for the points if you do.-
My strategy for a 500ish point game is to have 3 Deadshots and 2 Deadmans as taxi's for them. I put feats on the Deadhot's like Spotter, Vendetta, Monster Hunter, etc, plus their ATA for Suicide Squad, and then I put Invigorate on the Deadmans so that they take away Deadshots action tokens when they use Support. It's an effective combo.-
My question though is about the Spotter feat. It's prereq is Ranged Combat Expert. Since Deadshot uses it with his special power and doesn't possess it, are there any caveats? Can he even use this feat? Or can he only use it when his special power is active, i.e. when he is in hindering and no action tokens? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I would argue that your belief is incorrect, penetrating is just a description to prevent people from saying you can't use RCE and Penetrating/Psychic blast at same time. They should have stated it as follows:
If he has no action tokens and occupies hindering terrain, Deadshot can use Penetrating/Psychic Blast and deals +2 damage with that attack.
