Prologue:

"Where did they go?" asked Superman to Batman, who was manning the Justice League's impressive aray of scanners.

"Part of their team went planat side-the other, I have no clue." Batman shook his head. "After their team came back from what I'm assuming was their home dimension, they split up, but after part of their team teleported, we can't seem to find a corresponding signal to tell us where they teleported to.

"Then we will have to ask their collegues-forcefully, if neccessary." said Aquaman.

"You been hanging out with Carter again?" Green Arrow arched an eyebrow as he asked Arthur his question.

"No, I just...Atlantis get invaded on an almost regular basis. This place is like a vault for me. A place where I can relax somewhat, and store my most valuable items, because I know my friends are here to help me protect it. So when someone pierces that santuary..."

"I understand, Arthur." Wonder Woman came on and put a hand on his shoulder.

"As Chairman, I'm authorizing a strike team to see what up with these guys." said the Atom, who had grown to full size. "GL, Flash, GA...Firestorm, time for you to get some experience, and Aquaman, I won't think of leaving you off." Ray walked over to the matter transmuter. "The rest of us will clean up here. Yes, that includes you, Bruce, and you Clark. This Satellite was built using Kryption, Martian, and Thangarian specs using WayneTech materials. I'll get Carter on the horn if we need him. The transporters tubes were damaged, so Hal will have to take you to where we've tracked them."

"Happy Hunting!" said Black Canary as she gave Green Arrow a kiss on the cheek.

"All part of the plan, Heather." Quill answered. "Besides, this is the place we are Guarding, right? We should visit every so often so people know who we are."

"What are we dealing with, Hal?" Flash asked his buddy.

"Well, ring?" Green Lantern asked his Oan power device. [Ring detects four humaniods and one small highly evolved mammal. Designate Drax the Destroyer: a being brought to life to kill an entity called Thanos the Mad Titan. Designate Peter Quill, the Star-Lord: The Leader of these Guardians, a superior marksman, an unorthodox thinker. Designate Rocket Racoon: An evolved raccoon, expert in explosives and heavy ordinance.Do not underestimate. Designate: Mantis Ring cannot learn more. Designate: Moondragon: Ring cannot learn more.]

"Those last two, why can't you learn more, ring?" GL quizzed his ring.

[Designate: Mantis and Designate: Moondragon are both telepaths, and are blocking their minds while trying to probe ours. I am blocking yours, Hal Jordan, but as you haven't told me to block any others...] GL quickly willed that the others received the same mental protection as him, but who knows what those two had already gleaned from the others?

"Lets get moving!" The Flash as always, impatient to do something got the JLA moving.

"Alright Guardians, we've got an equivalent of the Avengers we are dealing with. There's Namor the fish guy, the one with the bow is Hawkeye, the flaming headed one is like Quasar, the fast one is Quicksilver, and the one in green is Doctor Strange. Use the same tactics you would on them, and this should go quickly. It seems they want to have this battle on the rooftops, and we will meet them there and defeat them! Move out team!"

"Sir, yes, Sir!" GL smiles as he ringed up two hands, one to move GA into position, and one to pluck the kid away from harm.

Mantis darts out of the way of the mighty blow of the king of the sea. "I have seen this all come to pass Mr. Curry. You do not fare well in this encounter."

Free: Star-Lord rolls Leadership. (3) is a failure. "Guardians. They are on the run. Move in and wipe them out."

1: Moondragon tks Drax to H-13.

2: Drax flies to P-8 bringing the heavy with him.

Moondragon concentrates, and Drax manages to blast through the air with enough power to get to the runners. Woe be it to anyone in the Destroyer's path.
