Whenever a character using this team ability would be dealt damage, you may give an action token to an adjacent friendly character using this team ability. If you do, deal all of the damage to that character instead.
So...if I put Cypher and this ATA on a team with Doom and some Doombots and they all copy this TA...does Doom now effectively have un-Outwit-able Mastermind?
If the answer to this is "yes", Doom may never leave home without his personal translator again...

It seems like you want to put the ATA on Cypher and have him grant it to Doom & co. via his Trait, which you couldn't actually do if your opponent isn't playing the ATA.

CRACK ENEMY COMUNICATIONS: At the beginning of the game, choose a team ability that an opposing character can use that isn't a Wild Card team ability or a team ability a Wild Card can't use. Friendly characters can use that team ability this game in addition to their other team abilities as long as Cypher is on the map.
Though you could simply wild card to it, in which case you could put multiple New Mutants/Gen Xers on your team and not run into the problem of losing the new TA if Cypher gets KOed.

Oh no..I knew the Trait wouldn't help. I simply used Cypher as an example. Any New Mutant would work for this.
The way I read bagman is if you mastermind to him with this team ability the attacker would take the feedback, correct me if I am wrong.
PS the combo of professor X and cable with this team ability is brilliant.
It's the easiest way to bring cable to his hypersonic clicks.

I thought the same thing when I first read it. Cypher threw my thinking onto a whole different path. Took me a while to realize Cypher wasn't necessary, since any New Mutant/Gen-Xer could be used to do the same thing. Cypher's just a low cost option.
