OBJECTS IN YOUR FORCE You may bring up to three objects as part of your force to a game. The first two objects added to your force must be different types (heavy, light, or immobile), and the third object can be any type, though you must have at least one heavy and one light among your three objects. Any or all of these objects may be special objects, but each special object must not have the same name as any other special object on your force.
Is it ok to start with just one object in yor force? just wanted to bring my confidence level from "that's the way I'm reading it" to "I'm 100% sure it's ok."
you dont have to use any objects if you choose not to. one is fine also.

But what about "you must have at least one heavy and one light"
Would this mean that you can't just bring one blue item, or even one h/l and then a blue?
In other words, if you're wanting to play a blue object, you need to put out a heavy or a light first.
but what ever you start with you must have in every game. You can not choose to bring 1 to the first game then 3 to the next game.
Same thing in regards to switching out objects.

You can bring one blue item which can be an immobile object but special no the less which you can use "up to" three differently named special objects. if you bring just one item it can be any of the three types: Light, Heavy or Immobile and just sup in a special item it it's place if you wish
Edit: bold part

Thing is, it says "you must have at least one heavy and one light among your three objects." I would figure you would need to meet these requirements before you could even bring in a blue.

From the player's guide:
When building a force, players may choose 0-3 objects. Based on the number of objects a player chooses they can include:
1 object – any type (heavy, light, or immobile)
2 objects – any two types that are not the same
3 objects – one can be any type, the other two must be a heavy and a light.
So it is perfectly fine to choose to bring just one object and have that object be an immobile object.

you quoted the power but since then you have kept paraphrasing it and getting it wrong.

Nothing says that the first object picked has any restrictions at all.
If you pick 2 objects then they must be different objects(light, heavy,Immobile)
if you pick 3 then you follow the rules for picking 2 and then any type of object for the third, but one must be light and one must be heavy and the other can be any kind.
