I had this come up in a game tonight. I was running Invaders. 89 point Bucky Cap had a line to Perplex 85 point Human Torch's Attack Value. I was looking to use a possible Running Shot/Pulse Wave on a string of MODOK's 11 in Muspelheim. When I would've used the Pulse Wave, Bucky Cap would've been out of range and line of fire of the Pulse Wave attack.
1: Would Human Torch have kept the modified Attack Value given Bucky Cap's being out of range and line of fire of the Pulse Wave? I'm guessing yes.
2: What if Bucky Cap had been in range and line of fire of the Pulse Wave? I'm pretty sure of a no, here, given that he'd have been a potential target for the attack, so his game effects would've been ignored.
3: What if it had been Contingency Plan involved instead of Perplex--say from it being assigned to Namor? If Namor were in range and line of fire of the Pulse Wave, but tokens had been removed to modify Torch's attack up, what would happen? Same result as 1?
4: Same scenario as 3, but Namor is out of range and line of fire of the final Pulse Wave attack? Same result as 2?
I THINK that covers all my bases. I judge games for my local shop, and I'd like to be up on this sort of thing, but I can't find an easy reference here on the forums that isn't at least a few years old. I'm looking for current info. Thank you all in advance!
If the Perplexer/Contingency planner is not inside the Pulse Wave radius, you get to keep the bonus. If they are inside the blast radius, the power/feat is ignored and the bonuses are ignored as well.
Pulse Wave ignores team abilities including Mystics.
