can you mastermind poison damage? i dont think so but want to make sure. also can you mastermind energy explosion damage as well with the new wording?

Yes to both. You can use Mastermind whenever damage is dealt, which is what Poison does.
And the new wording of Energy Explosion didn't affect how it works with Mastermind.
