Has WK made an official announcement as to what age gears and SF are legal in?

They have not said what they are, but they have said what is modern and they were not on the list

Yeah, the current rules state that every set is golden age but for the specifically listed modern age sets, and any DC or Marvel set produced after the Tournament Rules is produced. This means that, unless the Tournament Rules are changed, Street Fighter, Gears of War, Halo, and Lord of the Rings are going straight to Golden Age upon release. There have been no definitive statements that the rules will be updated early to change this, but there have been some non-definitive statements that suggest it is under consideration.

Unless there is a legal reason (it's still stupid but I can understand it) these sets should be legal.

Yeah the venues can do what they want but then why have "official rules".

So that people will have an idea of what to expect if they play at a different venue.

Yeah but with house rules they won't really know what to expect.

When a new set comes out it should be modern legal.

Do note that the people in this forum have no power over the rules. The RA and the deputies interpret them, they don't make them. The wording of the Tournament rules is unambiguous.

Complaining that it should change, which I agree with completely, doesn't really belong on this forum.

Yeah I do hope they have these sets for Modern also. i know there are Tourneys that for that day Golden is allowed, but If its a new set it should be Modern age. Its not like SF Gears or Halo(whatever the dial will be like) are game breaking.

To me, these sets just bring more options and figs to the table, and can open up more senarios. I look forward to the Gears set to try out my Emergence Day game. ^^ and also there isn't many INDY type sets/figs out there, and sets like these are awsome.

Please....PLEASE Wizkids let these sets be in Mordern Age. Even if its only for half the year. just to see how it all plays out ^^.
