But this isn't about the song, it's about the guitar.
Hopefully, all present will remember this in the event that there's a Guitar Wars II for all the master pickers who didn't make it into this contest and I nominate a Monkees song with Louie Shelton on guitar.
As for master pickers and the matter at hand...
Bold As Love -- Jimi Hendrix, please!
Tim Burton was right: "A square jaw does not a Batman make." Steve Buscemi as the next Batman! Luke Perry as Joker! Let's make it happen!
The Edge
George Thorogood
Zakk Wylde
Rory Gallagher
Paul Gilbert
Michael Schencker
Kindly add to the list: Charlie Christian...Wes Montgomery...Bert Jansch...Danny Kalb...Jerry Miller...and, yes, Louie Shelton, to name an additional six!

ULTRA-HUMANITE of the SSOSV Clan!
ROCK WARS TRIO WINNER: RUSH!
The advice of Neil Peart:
I will choose a path that's clear, I will choose FREEWILL!
We will pay the price, but we will not count the cost
As a general rule, I would say that Hendrix probably outplays McCready 9 times out of 10. I just think that this happens to be that one time that he doesn't. McCready to advance.

Robert Smith...Robin Guthrie (who I can't believe that I didn't nominate the first time around)...William Faith (although I'd probably go with his Faith and the Muse or Mephisto Walz stuff over his late-era Christian Death)...Luther Perkins...oh, yeah. I've easily got another half dozen I could nominate.

I covered some of the bigger names, but you two have really gone deep into the guitar players list. Robin Guthrie and Bert Jansch should both have been in the first go 'round.
