there's an opposing adjacent figure to the square.

A are two Anya Strouds, opposing to each other.
Can I still throw a grenade to "g" and drop the HT markers to affect her? The same question applies to the other types of grenades, as well...does there have to be a character in the target square?

No there does not have to be a character in the Target square, as well the oranges in other threads have mentioned that the Target square can be blocking terrain.
