i just can't agree with that 100%. it makes sense for the bodyguard to not only make it hard to hit the 'boss' but also for them to be hard to hit. nobody wants a bodyguard that's easy to tag. i'm glad she has imperv, but still, no reason that she doesn't have at least one click of 18. she's a capable, deadly and agile fighter. if that doesn't scream 18 defense, i don't know what would.
A bodyguards basic job is to make sure the 'boss' they are protecting doesn't end up in a situation where they can be hurt. If that fails, their job is then to take the hit that was meant for their 'boss'. Therefore a lower defense makes sense since an opponent most likely will direct their attack at the figure that they have better odds of hitting. Adding something like "the friendly character also gains Mastermind but the damage can only be dealt to Caiera" to the trait would mimic a bodyguard 'taking a bullet' for the 'boss'
i feel that betaray. the thing is caiera was deadly for so many reasons. one of the only ppl that have fought the hulk straight up and wasn't beat to a pulp. not even wolverine can say that. that's her only downfall. she would have been perfect with +1 defense all the way down. oh well, can't win em all. still a very cool figure!

I loved Planet Hulk and it's good to get some more characters from that storyline, hard to believe Caiera hasn't been made til now given her signifigence to that arc. (ditto to Red King)
She's gonna be one of the characters I'll be adding in singles.
Can you assign the 18 Def to Monkey Joe? And have him get the 18 everytime he is re-spawned?
Because...a never ending supply of 18 Def / Super Senses tie-up pieces would be the most awesomely annoying thing ever!
I dont think that will work because Monkey Joe is NOT a Friendly Character at the beginning of the game.
But she does look extremely storng, particularly if paired with someone that can share the 18 Defense back to her (for example Quasar in a 400 match might be a strong pairing).

Exactly. Like I said, slim chance, but I've seen it before (minus the object Damage of course). In fact, just recently my SI Iron Fist went on a tear.

I faced an Asgardian Team, led by HoT Thor, Female Loki, Beta Ray-Bill and The Lady Sif. He won map choice, and picked The Great Arena to deny me cover, and take advantage of his huge Range advantage. I chose Defenders as my T-Bolts ATA. Thor got onto the Accelerator, and Running Shot to Nuke my Luke Cage. I though it was all over, but Thor had 2 tokens on him, so I pushed a few of my figures to get right into his face. Falcon carried Iron Fist over to base Thor, Shang-Chi pushed to base Beta Ray, and Tarantula pushed to base Loki and Sif. Next turn, Iron Fist Lunged with the Exploit, to Critical Hit, he'd cleared Thor so he made me re-roll. Critical Hit again for 4!!!!!! After that, Iron Fist was a whirlwind of destruction. He was hit down to his Blades clicks, and he was able to Lunge/Blades 4 times, 3 of which ended up being Critical Hits, and I also rolled a 6 on every Blades roll. Unbelievable. Iron Fist KO'd all 4 of my opponents figures. I probably shouldn't have won that game, but in the end it is a dice rolling game
