No way those two should be getting exploit weakness, I was thinking it looked appropriate with the 1 dmg but if you give them the EW they can break through impervious on a tent pole figure (ie- real heroes) I feel ill....
This renews my Hobbit hatred with all the more vitriol.
It makes perfect sense given the fact Sting is a magic sword.
And that's what is giving the piece the exploit weakness ability.

I don't mind the Exploit Weakness (for the above reason), nor the Stealth, the Willpower, or even the Probability Control (for this reason: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eucatastrophe)
However, a lot of the rest of the dial really really bugs me.
1) Flurry- Flurry w/ Duo = stupid and pointless, especially on the first two clicks of Flurry where there is no benefit to one over the other. It's also not like Frodo and Sam are such skilled fighters that they should justifiably get the Outwit protection provided by the redundant powers.
2) Carry- Sam carried Frodo part way up Mount Doom...but as a duo they're already moving as a single figure! Now they can cart around the Hulk. Just dumb. Better would have been to just give a non duo version of Sam the Carry ability.
3) Poison- Ugh. Rightfully a Shelob figure would have Toughness and thusly be immune to Poison. Mostly the Light of Earendil kept things at bay. Something akin to the Hypertime/KC TA would have been appropriate; perhaps even something that cancelled Stealth on adjacent characters and made them have to attempt breakaway rolls. Giving them Poison was just lazy and inaccurate.
I'm really excited about this set, but I just feel that they really dropped the ball with this one.
I understand what they're going with the Flurry w/ Duo.
It's so if you perplex up the damage, you don't get the -1 on the second attack.
I do agree with you about Carry. Unless it's also there for dragging Gollum along?
Poison isn't really a bad choice to represent the "Light", since poison makes you avoid basing characters. And kinda does work in representing how it keeps the forces of Sauron away. Maybe they should have done it like Red Skull's Poison? Against Shelob or the Forces of Sauron it does 2 points of Poison damage. Or whatever.
