I'm afraid people will like this one better than the real Black Bolt! This one has a more straightforward playing style, and it has more keyword options. Running Shot/Pulse Wave is always a solid combo.

I think I'm just gonna be playing the old Vet Emerald Empress for 31 points less instead of this Black Bolt.

And I'll play the old LE Polaris for 20 points cheaper than that!

Or I'll play Skrull Black Bolt cause I like Skrulls and Polaris and Emerald Empress are not Skrulls.

I love it. if I don't pull the super rare I will grab one of these, he will most likely be cheaper too.

As much as I like the stats of the SR Black Bolt, I think I'll be using this one for my Illuminati teams. Although I don't use Pulse Wave very much, the 60 points I'll save will let me fit in Professor X's Enhancement squad, fit under the 900 point mark, and still have it qualify as a theme team.

Not to mention putting Camouflage on him in Golden Age.

Umm, if by Enhancement squad you mean WS Researchers that will break your themed team. Researchers aren't bystander tokens and they don't have the Illuminati keyword. It is disappointing that no matter how you build you Illuminati team currently you either end up really short on points or over by 3 or more.

Dang. I always forget that part. Well, I guess we can hope that the Namor and Doctor Strange will change things while still being as awesome as their SI versions. At least I can get an Illuminati team in flavor only under 900 with this Black Bolt.

That's 900 pts on the dot. Is it the best possible version of the team? No, but it's certainly not bad.

Aren't feats highlander now? So you can't have two protected on the same team I thought. Still a really brutal team! A little high in point total for my venue

not sure if this is true to be honest. however, there are specific feats that will state that no more than one can be played.
Protected is not one of those feats though.

Yeah that's just what I heard the latest ruling was on feats by wizkids. Even if so there are other feats for 8 that would work wonderfully.

You cannot assign a character the same feat twice, besides that limitation you can have protected on as many of your figures that you want. Highlander is always a house else by your local venue/judge
