it's tough to be a piece in this point range and constantly be compared to guys like noh-varr and iron patriot, but i think this guy could be okay with some perplexers.
gotta disagree with you on that stupidhorse, personally I think that A-bomb here would not really have trouble facing down iron patirot. Just because of the fact that he is primarily a range based piece and if you play A-bomb right he should never be shot at. True Iron Patriot does have outwit but even if he does outwit his defence on his top click and hits him for 3 then A-bomb is right on stealth with exploit weakness. Then Patriot is would have had to run up at him to hit him in the first place. Then A-bomb could get an object and smush him with exploit for 4 or 5. Theres also the fact that A-bomb had a higher overall defence than Patriot and more clicks of imperv and invuln. Now if A-bomb was facing Noh-Varr thats a different story. It would really be close because the only ranged move Noh varr could do would be to pulse wave and that would put him within charging distance of A-bomb. but hey it all comes down to the dice rolls anyways right? I think that this is a great piece and a great representation of A-bomb.

why, whenever two pieces are compared, do people think that a statement such as 'piece A would totally defeat piece B' is relevant information? when building a team, you shouldn't be asking yourself which piece beats the other one. what you should be asking yourself is which piece will be more capable of beating whatever your opponents are going to put on the map. and in such a comparison, i feel like i will choose running shot, psychic blast, pulse wave, and higher values (aka noh-varr) over a-bomb every time. iron patriot is a little tougher to make a case for, but i am of the opinion that running shot and psychic blast are enough to make him better than a-bomb at winning games. would a-bomb beat iron patriot in a 1-on-1 face-off? maybe. does that matter? absolutely not.
heh, not unless A-bomb is next to blocking. Then your only option is to get within pulse wave range, and with no move and attack A-bomb is gonnna be able to charge before you can pulse wave. If A-bomb gets lucky with the dice and you dont roll your imperv then you take 4dmg+object. But whatever it all does come down to dice rolls anyways.

played a sealed tonight and happen to pull this 151 point pile of disappointment. Avoid this click at all cost unless you have someone to perplex his attack up. Honestly you're better off with hulk robot.
Great Piece In A Sealed. Push Him To His 19 D Then Use Him To Tie Up The Other Team. He Worked Great For Me In A Sealed. He Is Your Plan B, Use Him For The Threat Of Tie Up.
all this talk about noh-var being able to kill a-bomb. why can't they team up? it would be brutal. anyway i just got this dude today. can't wait to use him. hopefully next week.
I started playing heroclix 3 months ago. A friend of mine give me this piece as a b-day present and let me tell you something, abomb sucks. For the point cost you can find from commons to uncommons that can do better job than this sack of turnips. Really terrible figure.
You're meant to use his trait to help you circle around behind or beside an enemy's support pieces and either kill them or tie them up. The early dial impervious is meant to keep him alive as long as possible while he does this job, not to help him charge straight in. He's expensive for what he does, sure, but in a game of 400 points or more, he's a worthwhile investment, especially with someone perplexing his defense up.
