so yeah, i think i want to buy a ps3 soon.

i got an xbox360 only a few months ago and i love it. mostly got it for the online since a lot of friends have it.

but that uncharted 3 bundle is really tempting and would be nice to have a blu ray player! there are some other fun looking games on it, mainly Little Big Planet 2!

i'd mostly get it for a few exlusive titles and blu ray and stick with my 360 for multiplatform titles & online.

anyway not sure why i'm making this thread, i guess just to ask what i need to know if anything before actually buying it.

You'd basically be using it the way I use mine.

The two systems are a lot more similar than fan wars let on. They each have their pros and cons (the most obvious ones being system exclusives) but if you can fit both into a budget, I'd say they're both worth it.

Getting ready to buy a PS3 but I'm not an online gamer (multi). I like the do-it-yourself games.

Target is running a promotion ending tomorrow that if you buy a PS3 you get a controller for free.

That's tempting me to buy it big time. That and I have the Arkham City game staring at me. There's that.

I say get it. I never was an Xbox guy but they're so dang cheap. I think you're basically paying more for a BluRay player and the exclusive games (which with the PS3 I know I'll buy more of than the exclusive Xbox).

Got a ps3 for myself at Christmas and LOVE it. No regrets at all. I'm not a big online guy and the bluray is awesome. You pay more but I feel It's worth it.

Oddly enough I barely use my PS3, I have some blue-rays, and aside from playing the Show, I don't play that often. I wasn't too big of a fan of Uncharted, and DCU kind of sucked.

Bought it. Playing Arkham City.

Killed by a Riddler Room twice. Killed by Poison Ivy goons as Catwoman A LOT! Killed by "Tiny" twice for wading off the ice.

Never saw my kid jump that high.

PS3 is "wicked smart"!
