Question about Polar Opposite Attack( In Betweener)
A debate has broken out here on the functionality of the Polar Opposite Attack. In reference to Adam Warlock and his swiss army white powers.
Is a power normally considered Standard Power, contained with a Special power, still considered as a Standard Power for use purposes. In other words..
Can In-Betweener use the powers contained within Adam Warlock's special powers, or could he only copy his defensive powers? Please, as many answers as possible, from judges and if they're watching, people from wizkids XD.
I believe it is a yes, you would be able to use the standard powers that are part of his white powers. Anything extra though would not be useable. Such as The Leader's power that grants him a second outwit. You would be able to use the standard power Outwit, but not the rest of the special power.
In the case of Adam Warlock, the In-Betweener would have just gotten very powerful.

From In-Betweener's Card:
Quote
As a free action, choose an opposing character within range and line of fire. Until your next turn, In-Betweener may use all standard powers and combat abilities that character can use as long as that character is on the map. At the end of your turn, if In-Betweener didn't attack that character this turn, deal In-Betweener 2 unavoidabledamage.
As long as Adam Warlock can use (even those granted by Special Powers/Traits/Abilities) them he, In-Betweener can use them as well.

The crux of the argument as presented to me, is that a power contained within a special power is not a standard power. That according to the rules one could not copy the standard powers inside adam warlocks sppecial powers,, because while he can use those powers, they are no longer standard powers.

That is simply incorrect.
If a special power allows the use of a standard power, the character can use a standard power.

Read the Rogue Final Word. Her Final Word covers all of this. if Warlock can use that standard power(whether it be from a Standard power, Ability, Trait, Or SP) then In-Betweenher can use them too.
Just remember that when IB use's those powers and hits Warlock, If warlocks Powers change, So do IB's.
Exp. You take HHS, run in, hit Warlock, Warlock loses HSS, IB stays where he is cuz IB lost HSS too.

As has been noted, that's simply incorrect. Powers that he could not copy would be things like:
PUNY HUMANS STAND NO CHANCE: When a character 75 points or less would deal damage to Hulk with an attack or targets Hulk with Outwit, roll a d6. On a roll of 4-6, Hulk ignores damage dealt by that attack or Hulk ignores that use of Outwit.
It's a Special Power that contains no standard powers within it. The only check you have to make is: does the SP contain a power that is listed on the PAC? If yes, he can copy that standard power.
