knock off those first 2 clix make him about 20-30 points cheaper and this would be one amazing piece! as is though he still pretty good just don't like that opening 9 attack with phasing.
I dont really know how they came up with this dial for this guy, but its an amazing addition to the Nova Corps, and I have no problem clicking my Rookie Novas to heal this guy up. His powers are great for staying on that HSS click. Limited RCE to all Novas is an amazing trait that I sorta expected from Richie. This guys a mess when it comes to comic accuracy, partially due to the fact that his story line hasn't even started yet in the comics. This is obviously the Garthan Saal from the end of War of Kings, not the Giant version last seen battling the Avengers led by Reed and Sue Richards. Either way, looks like a really fun dial. I sort of like it better than 001 Nova-Prime.
I wonder how his trait will interact with Airwalker and the rookie firelord. they already have RCE so will it override/choose/or stack? either way i want to play him on nova core teams.
These days you can get powers from different sources (like the Legion of Superheroes, Mr. Underhill/Ringbearer, etc) but I'm pretty sure you can't use them more than once. It would give them RCE on the rest of their dial and they'd still possess the version of it granted by the trait if it was countered.
He will be amazing with the new Nova Core Recruits (you could play 3 of them with Super-Nova for 300pts and still have room for a feat or special object). If he gets hurt, he can hurt them to juice himself (and get them closer to their perplex clicks). If you play it right, he'll also be next to them so the Recruits can benefit from the Defend they give him. All of them having RCE will be scary, too.
I want to play this guy with 2 recruits and a full IG. The ability to heal so easily will keep Super-Nova alive, lots of move and attack, extra damage on demand, and power cosmic goes a long way on this figure. The problem with that team is its 18 points shy of 300, so here's hoping for a Nova Corps ATA.
Why did they make him 142 and not 140? At least if he was 140 then him and 2 Denarians would make a nice 300point team. Fun dial though, feels like Maelstrom light.
Fantastic piece. Ran him in a 900pt Nova Corps team and he was the MVP. Almost died, but was able to heal up to top dial with his special damamge power, give all the Nova Corp recruits a click of damage. Should have only healed him to his hypseronic click and it cost me, but no complaints, except maybe a couple better attack values.
