Hi all, this weekend a scenario came up and i'm not sure if i ruled correctly. Basically a damage reducer was outwitted on player A's turn, player B went and when it came back to player A he tried to say that the outwit was still in effect and poison could be used. I overruled him and said that he would need to outwit again in order for the poison to go through. Was i correct or was the outwit still in effect?

BTW, i did a search and could not find this answer.

Active played decides the order of Simultaneous events. They could trigger the poison before Outwit ended.

Edit: Wrong answer. Outwit ending happens first but Outwit can be used before poison occurs.

This is an odd one. At the beginning of your turn, the controlling player can decide the order of free actions. Outwit is a free action, so is poison. However, overrulling those free actions is Outwit ending. So this would be the order flow

Player A's Turn.
Batman Outwits Superman's Impervious. Superman is adjacent to Plasmus.

Player B's Turn. Superman does nothing for some reason.

Player A's Turn: Outwit ends, and Superman gets his Impervious Back. As a free action, Batman Outwits Impervious. As a free Action, Plasmus deals damage using Poison.

You have to use Outwit again to have the Poison work.

You ruled correctly.

Sounds like someone was trying to pull a fast one. Get a click of poison damage from a character with damage reduction and still be able to use their outwit for someting else. From what i've gathered over the years, you ruled correctly

It was a newer player and this situation has never come up before. I was 99% that I was correct but then started thinking about timing. Thanks afford the quick replies!
