Hi. I have a question regarding Ursa's special trait. If a character occupying a hindering terrain was attacked (ranged) by Ursa... does that character still get a hindering terrain modifier (+1) on it's defense value?
I initially thought that they would have none since the text regarding URSA states that she ignores hindering terrain for line of fire purposes, but another player mentioned that the text just means that she can just clearly see a character "for line of purposes" (she can see them eventhough they are stealth), so the hindering modifier should still apply.
Is this accurate?
URSA
X-Ray Vision: Ursa ignores hindering terrain for line of fire purposes when making attacks.
Kryptonian Black Ops: Ursa can use Running Shot and Stealth.
Light Sensitive: If Ursa occupies hindering terrain, modify her attack value by +1.
In DC75th AN049 Green Lantern's (Alan Scott) case, I think it's easier to assume that the hindering modifier may still apply since he just ignores stealth.
LIGHT THE DANGER: Green Lantern ignores Stealth. When a character takes damage from his attack, that character can't use Stealth this turn.
THE GREEN FLAME: Green Lantern can use Incapacitate, Penetrating/Psychic Blast, and Telekinesis.

The +1 bonus is a result of line of fire crossing hindering terrain. Since Ursa ignores hindering for line of fire, the character she is attacking would not get the modifier (she could also see through Stealth).

Thanks.
That is correct. If Green Lantern attacks a character with Stealth through hindering, they still get the +1 to defense.
"Line of Fire: Hindering terrain impedes line of fire. If a line of fire between two characters is hindered, modify the target's Defense Value by +1 for the attack, unless the only square of hindering terrain crossed is occupied by the attacker."
Since Line of Fire ignores Hindering Terrain by Ursa's trait, Line of Fire is not considered 'hindered', so the +1 to DV is not applied.
Follow-up question. Does this mean that Ursa could not use the Superman Enemy Team ability to outwit a stealth character on hindering terrain since she she only ignores hindering terrain for line of fire purposes when making attacks?

Right. Since she isn't attacking when using Outwit she can't ignore the terrain. She can see Batman to shoot him, but not to Outwit him prior to the shot.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
