Yeah, I think their loss of 2 2nd rounders will hurt them a lot. Especially this year, there is a lot of 2nd round talent available. Plus with their record, they aren't picking until late in the 3rd.
I don't know about that. The Pat's stealing signals helped them win three titles in four years. That seems like a pretty big deal to me.
It is perfectly legal to steal signals in the NFL. The rule the Pats broke was that they taped them from the wrong location. Peter King ran content from the memo that was sent out reminding everyone of the rule prior to spygate breaking.

1. Goodell found there was no evidence that the Pats taped the Rams walkthrough.
2. I'd say you have it backwards. Most people think the Pats broke rules that are more serious than the ones the Saints did, and that stealing signals is actually illegal.

Thanks for throwing that out there. There are a lot of misconceptions on exactly what happened with the Patriots. I think history will be kinder on them than the current fan base, there is still too much emotion out there.
If I am correct, I hear the Saints lied to the commissioner in the investigation- that's a big no-no! Goodell does not suffer fools gladly. The league is also trying to protect itself from lawsuits and the timing of this is horrible.
I think it will be real interesting to see how the Player's Association handles their constituents' punishments. Who is in their best interest to protect- the players being suspended or the players who had the bounty on them?

Supposedly the investigation's been ongoing since the 2009-10 postseason, as one of the players was allegedly caught on a live mike during the NFC Championship game demanding his money after delivering a hit that seemed like it would knock Farve out of the game (and the week before that, Kurt Warner was dealt a career-ending injury).

It's pretty clearly the latter, but the NFLPA is... not very good at its job.
